Parent Support Opportunities
Parent Support is essential to the SRHS Choral Program; below are the areas where parent volunteers are needed.
In addition, the Parent Fundraising Coordinators will help organize specific fundraising activities throughout the school year, which is an important part of this program. Please go to the Fundraisers page for information regarding our efforts in this area, and see where you can help!
Chaperones
Chaperones are a very important part of the Choral Program; without chaperones volunteering for rehearsals and concerts, we would not be able to have these events. There are many opportunities for your support. Please review the Chaperone Responsibilities to understand what is required as a chaperone and indicate your interest by filling in the information at the bottom of the Fee Submittal form from the Choral Department Handbook. Appeals for specific opportunities to chaperone will be emailed prior to each event/need, and you will be able to sign up to volunteer at that time.
Uniform Fittings
A few parents are needed to help make the uniform fitting process run smoothly on the scheduled fitting dates. These dates are usually in September of each school year. If you are interested in assisting with the uniform fittings, please let Mr. Stanley know of your availability.
Set Up and Tear Down
Parent volunteers are needed to supervise the students assigned to set up for rehearsals and concerts and put equipment away after the rehearsals and concerts are over. If you are interested in volunteering in this area, please let Mr. Stanley know of your availability.
Sound and Lights
Those who are interested in helping with the sound and lights will coordinate with Mr. Stanley to understand the requirements for each concert. In addition, those who are interested will coordinate with the student technicians assigned to the event, ensuring the sound equipment and lighting cues are ready to go for each rehearsal/concert.
